1. Purpose and Scope

EDF Texas, LLC supports local furry and furry-friendly community connection through online spaces, events, resources, announcements, and community activities.

These Terms of Use apply to EDF Texas, LLC spaces and activities, including but not limited to:

  • East Dallas Furs Telegram groups, topics, channels, waiting rooms, and related chats.
  • EDF adult-only or 18+ spaces.
  • EDF-connected events, meetups, restaurant gatherings, park meets, bar or club outings, private event discussions, public activities, and convention-adjacent activities.
  • EDF websites, flyers, QR codes, logos, forms, announcements, and promotional materials.
  • Community Spotlight, creator participation, and EDF-approved promotions.
  • Any off-platform behavior that creates a safety, trust, venue, legal, or reputational concern for EDF.

These rules apply whether conduct occurs in the main group, a topic, a direct message, an event, an adult-only space, a public venue, or another EDF-connected setting.

2. Private Community Space / Participation Is a Privilege

EDF Texas, LLC and East Dallas Furs spaces are privately managed community spaces. Participation is a privilege, not a right.

EDF Texas, LLC may remove content, restrict topics, issue warnings, mute members, remove members, decline re-entry, deny event participation, restrict access to adult-only spaces, revoke promotional privileges, or take other action when needed to protect members, minors, moderators, organizers, venues, EDF Texas, LLC, or the long-term health of the community.

EDF generally prefers reminders, discussion, and correction when safe and reasonable. However, serious issues may result in immediate action without prior warning.

Participation in one EDF space does not guarantee participation in another. A member may be allowed in the main SFW group but denied access to adult-only spaces, events, promotions, Community Spotlight, or other EDF-connected opportunities.

3. Member Responsibility and Assumption of Risk

Members are responsible for their own conduct, safety, choices, belongings, transportation, health needs, food choices, hydration, medication needs, communication, and personal boundaries.

EDF does not guarantee:

  • Attendance numbers.
  • Event outcomes.
  • Food availability.
  • Transportation.
  • Medical care.
  • Supervision.
  • Safety from all possible risks.
  • Conflict-free interaction.
  • Sales, promotion, exposure, or business success.
  • Venue access.
  • Weather conditions.
  • Continued access to any space, event, or opportunity.

Participation in EDF spaces and events is voluntary and at your own risk.

4. EDF Texas, LLC Leadership, Organizers, and Moderators

EDF Texas, LLC leadership is responsible for major decisions involving EDF policy, rules, official statements, branding, events, partnerships, money-related approvals, Community Spotlight approval, adult-only space access, and organizational direction.

Moderators and moderators in training may help support EDF spaces by welcoming members, redirecting conversations, reminding members of rules, flagging concerns, removing clearly inappropriate content when authorized, and escalating issues to EDF Texas, LLC leadership.

Moderators are community support volunteers. Moderator status does not create ownership, management authority, agency authority, employment, partnership, or the ability to bind EDF Texas, LLC.

Members are expected to follow reasonable direction from EDF Texas, LLC leadership, organizers, moderators, and authorized representatives.

Moderators and organizers may act or escalate when needed to address:

  • Safety concerns.
  • Minor-safety concerns.
  • Harassment.
  • NSFW content in SFW spaces.
  • Boundary violations.
  • Spam or scams.
  • Privacy violations.
  • Event disruption.
  • Venue concerns.
  • Reputational concerns.
  • Legal concerns.
  • Repeated conflict.
  • Behavior that harms the community atmosphere.

Major decisions are reserved to EDF Texas, LLC leadership unless authority has been clearly delegated.

Final decisions may be made by EDF Texas, LLC leadership when agreement is not practical, timing matters, or an issue creates risk for the group.

5. SFW / All-Ages Spaces

EDF SFW spaces are all-ages and must remain appropriate for minors, parents, public venues, community promotion, and general social participation.

In SFW spaces, do not post, link, describe in detail, display, promote, request, imply, or hint toward:

  • Pornography or adult artwork.
  • Nude, explicit, or strongly suggestive images.
  • Sexual roleplay.
  • Fetish content.
  • Kink content.
  • Explicit sexual discussion.
  • Sexual jokes involving minors, unknown-age people, minor-coded characters, or childlike characters.
  • Sexualized age regression.
  • Cub, minor-coded, or childlike sexual content.
  • Adult links.
  • Adult commission sheets.
  • Adult galleries.
  • Adult servers, channels, or groups.
  • “DM me for NSFW” posts.
  • Adult advertisements.
  • Content that would make the space unsafe for minors, parents, venues, public-facing promotion, or EDF’s reputation.

EDF may remove borderline content even if it is not explicitly sexual.

Repeatedly testing the line may result in moderation.

6. Adult-Only / 18+ Spaces

EDF may operate or recognize separate adult-only spaces for members who are 18 or older. These spaces are for mature conversation, adult social connection, adult event planning, and age-restricted discussion.

EDF adult-only spaces are not pornography spaces.

EDF Texas, LLC does not intend to host, promote, distribute, archive, or manage pornography. There is plenty of adult content elsewhere, and EDF does not need to become responsible for it.

Access to any EDF-connected 18+ space is restricted, conditional, and may require age verification or approval by EDF Texas, LLC leadership or an authorized verification process.

Participation in an EDF 18+ space is still subject to:

  • EDF rules.
  • Leadership and moderator direction.
  • Consent expectations.
  • Privacy rules.
  • Telegram rules.
  • Applicable law.
  • Community safety standards.

An 18+ space is not a free-for-all. Adult-only access does not excuse harassment, sexual pressure, explicit media posting, boundary violations, privacy violations, or unsafe conduct.

EDF Texas, LLC may deny, restrict, revoke, or delay access to adult-only spaces at its discretion. Access is not guaranteed based only on age.

7. Minors and Age-Safety Rules

EDF SFW spaces may include minors.

EDF is not a dating space, hookup space, adult roleplay space, or ageplay space.

Do not:

  • Flirt sexually with minors.
  • Ask minors sexual questions.
  • Send minors adult content.
  • Invite minors into adult-only spaces.
  • Help minors access adult-only spaces.
  • Joke about sexual activity involving minors.
  • Encourage minors to hide things from parents, guardians, or trusted adults.
  • Use EDF to seek private access to minors.
  • Sexualize age regression, cub, childlike, or minor-coded characters.
  • Treat an unknown-age person as an adult without confirmation.

If someone’s age is unclear, treat them as a minor for safety purposes.

Minors attending EDF events should attend with a parent, guardian, or trusted adult as appropriate. EDF moderators and organizers are not childcare providers.

EDF may remove or report content, conduct, or accounts involving credible child-safety concerns.

8. Adult Content, Pornography, Kink, and Sexual Discussion

Adult content may only be discussed in spaces where EDF has clearly allowed mature conversation. Adult content may never be posted in SFW spaces, all-ages topics, public promotional areas, event pages, general announcements, or mixed-age spaces.

EDF adult-only spaces are intended for mature conversation and adult social connection, not pornography distribution.

EDF does not allow:

  • Pornography in EDF-managed spaces.
  • Explicit sexual media.
  • Sexual content involving minors.
  • Sexual content involving minor-coded, cub, childlike, or age-regressed characters.
  • Non-consensual sexual content.
  • Coercion, blackmail, revenge porn, or sexual exploitation.
  • Hidden sexual recordings.
  • Sharing another person’s nudes, adult content, private messages, or sexual information without consent.
  • Sex work solicitation.
  • Prostitution.
  • Trafficking.
  • Illegal sexual activity.
  • Sexual harassment.
  • Unsolicited sexual advances.
  • Pressure to roleplay or participate in sexual conversation.
  • Real animal sexual content or animal sexual abuse.
  • Content that violates Telegram rules, venue rules, or applicable law.

EDF may remove adult content or restrict adult-space access when content creates safety, privacy, legal, reputational, venue, or community concerns.

9. AI-Generated Creative Works Ban

EDF does not allow AI-generated creative works to be posted, promoted, sold, submitted, displayed, used for Community Spotlight, used for contests, used for EDF promotional material, or presented as personal creative work in EDF spaces.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • AI-generated visual art.
  • AI-generated icons.
  • AI-generated avatars.
  • AI-generated badges.
  • AI-generated banners.
  • AI-generated stickers.
  • AI-generated ref sheets.
  • AI-generated character designs.
  • AI-generated adoptables.
  • AI-generated music.
  • AI-generated audio.
  • AI-generated video.
  • AI-generated animation.
  • AI-generated voice work.
  • AI-generated writing presented as creative writing, stories, poetry, character lore, roleplay writing, or commission work.
  • AI-generated commission examples.
  • AI-generated portfolio pieces.
  • AI-generated sale listings.
  • AI-generated raffle prizes.
  • AI-generated contest entries.
  • AI-generated vendor material.
  • AI-generated Community Spotlight material.
  • AI-generated edits that substantially replace or imitate human creative work.
  • AI-generated material that copies, imitates, or is intended to mimic a specific artist, creator, member, or community figure.

EDF may also restrict AI-assisted creative work if the use is unclear, deceptive, disruptive, or inconsistent with the purpose of this rule.

This rule is not aimed at ordinary utility use, such as:

  • Spellcheck.
  • Accessibility tools.
  • Coding help.
  • Organizational drafting.
  • Moderation drafting.
  • Document formatting.
  • Private planning.

However, utility use does not allow someone to post or present AI-generated material as creative work.

Members may not use EDF to bait, provoke, repeatedly debate, or relitigate the AI creative works rule. Moderators may limit AI discussion if it becomes disruptive, hostile, deceptive, or harmful to the community atmosphere.

10. Art, Credit, Commissions, and Creative Integrity

Do not steal art, falsely claim credit, remove signatures, trace without permission, impersonate artists, misrepresent commissioned work, or use another person’s character, sona, design, photo, or creative material in a misleading or harmful way.

Members are responsible for making sure they have permission to post, sell, display, edit, or promote creative work.

Commission disputes are generally private matters between the buyer and seller. EDF may limit, remove, or restrict commission-related posts if they create pressure, drama, confusion, legal risk, or community disruption.

11. Harassment, Threats, Hate, and Targeted Abuse

EDF does not allow harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, threats, hate speech, slurs, dehumanizing language, or targeted abuse.

This includes conduct based on:

  • Race.
  • Color.
  • National origin.
  • Ethnicity.
  • Religion.
  • Sex.
  • Gender.
  • Gender identity.
  • Sexual orientation.
  • Disability.
  • Age.
  • Body type.
  • Neurodivergence.
  • Medical condition.
  • Veteran status.
  • Other personal identity traits.

Jokes are not an excuse when the impact is harassment, exclusion, or intimidation.

EDF may act when conduct makes members feel unsafe, unwelcome, targeted, or pressured out of the community.

12. Boundaries, Consent, and Unwanted Contact

No means no. Stop means stop. Go away means go away.

Do not pressure, follow, repeatedly message, flirt with, touch, photograph, tag, record, or continue interacting with someone after they have asked you to stop or clearly disengaged.

This applies in:

  • Chat.
  • Direct messages.
  • Events.
  • Photos.
  • Games.
  • Roleplay.
  • Social media.
  • Adult-only spaces.
  • Off-platform interactions connected to EDF.

Consent must be clear, voluntary, and ongoing.

Someone attending an event, wearing a fursuit, posting a selfie, joining an adult-only space, being friendly, or joking in chat does not mean they consent to flirting, sexual comments, touching, private messages, photos, or ongoing attention.

13. Privacy, Doxxing, Screenshots, and Personal Information

Do not share, threaten to share, collect, investigate, expose, or encourage others to expose another person’s private information without consent.

This includes:

  • Legal names.
  • Addresses.
  • Phone numbers.
  • Workplace information.
  • School information.
  • License plates.
  • Private social media.
  • Family information.
  • Medical information.
  • Legal history.
  • Private photos.
  • Adult content.
  • Verification information.
  • Private conversations.
  • Screenshots from private spaces.

Screenshots may be sent privately to EDF Texas, LLC leadership or moderators for safety or moderation reasons.

Screenshots should not be used to harass, shame, brigade, threaten, manipulate, embarrass, or pressure others.

Screenshots, recordings, or leaks from adult-only spaces may result in immediate removal.

Edited, misleading, or fake evidence may result in moderation.

14. Rumors, Accusations, Callouts, and Reputation Harm

EDF is not a court, investigation board, or public callout forum.

Do not use EDF spaces to spread:

  • Rumors.
  • Vague accusations.
  • Personal vendettas.
  • Public shaming.
  • Defamatory claims.
  • Unverified allegations.
  • Reputation attacks.
  • “Everyone needs to know” posts.
  • Claims about members, moderators, organizers, venues, other groups, or nonmembers that EDF cannot reasonably verify.

Good-faith safety concerns are allowed and encouraged, but they should be brought to EDF Texas, LLC leadership or moderators privately whenever possible.

If something involves immediate danger, contact emergency services or the appropriate authorities first.

False reports, bad-faith accusations, retaliation against reporters, or attempts to weaponize EDF moderation may result in removal.

15. Drama Farming, Brigading, and Public Pressure Campaigns

Do not use EDF to organize harassment, raids, dogpiles, review-bombing, rumor campaigns, social pressure campaigns, or targeted attacks against individuals, groups, businesses, conventions, venues, or organizers.

This includes encouraging people to:

  • Confront someone.
  • Mass-message someone.
  • “Warn everyone” without evidence.
  • Drag outside disputes into EDF.
  • Pressure moderators publicly.
  • Force a moderation outcome through public drama.
  • Retaliate against someone for reporting a concern.

Moderators or EDF Texas, LLC leadership may shut down conversations that become reputationally risky, legally risky, unsafe, circular, hostile, or harmful to the community atmosphere.

16. Illegal, Dangerous, or Regulated Activity

Do not use EDF to promote, request, arrange, normalize, or facilitate illegal activity.

This includes:

  • Illegal drugs.
  • Non-prescribed controlled substances.
  • Weapons sales.
  • Forged documents.
  • Fraud.
  • Scams.
  • Theft.
  • Threats.
  • Violence.
  • Sexual exploitation.
  • Revenge porn.
  • Child sexual abuse material.
  • Animal abuse.
  • Vandalism.
  • Hacking.
  • Stalking.
  • Doxxing.
  • Evading law enforcement.
  • Other illegal conduct.

Do not post instructions for harming others, bypassing safety systems, hacking accounts, committing fraud, doxxing, stalking, or committing illegal acts.

EDF Texas, LLC may report credible threats, child-safety concerns, illegal content, or emergency issues to Telegram, venues, law enforcement, or other appropriate parties.

17. Alcohol, Substances, and Intoxication at Events

Some EDF-connected events may take place at restaurants, bars, clubs, conventions, private venues, or public spaces where alcohol is available.

The presence of alcohol does not change EDF’s expectations for safety, consent, boundaries, public behavior, or personal responsibility.

Members are responsible for their own choices involving:

  • Alcohol.
  • Transportation.
  • Medication interactions.
  • Sobriety.
  • Legal compliance.
  • Personal safety.

At EDF-connected events:

  • Do not provide alcohol to minors.
  • Do not pressure anyone to drink.
  • Do not mock, question, or pressure someone for not drinking.
  • Do not use intoxication as an excuse for harassment, unwanted contact, sexual behavior, aggression, unsafe conduct, or rule violations.
  • Do not bring outside alcohol where prohibited.
  • Do not drive impaired.
  • Do not create a situation where EDF, organizers, venues, or other members are expected to manage your intoxication.
  • Follow all venue rules, ID requirements, age restrictions, staff direction, and applicable law.

EDF does not sell, serve, supervise, monitor, or provide alcohol unless explicitly stated in writing by EDF Texas, LLC leadership.

When alcohol is available through a venue, the venue remains responsible for its own alcohol service, ID checks, security, and house rules.

EDF may remove, separate, decline entry to, or refuse future participation to anyone whose intoxication or substance use creates a safety, consent, venue, legal, reputational, or community concern.

For 21+ events, members under 21 may not attend unless the event announcement clearly states that the venue permits under-21 attendees and EDF Texas, LLC leadership has approved the event structure.

18. Events, Venues, Parks, Restaurants, Bars, Clubs, and Public Behavior

EDF-connected events may include public park meets, restaurants, game nights, bowling, skating, conventions, clubs, bars, adult-only events, private meetups, and other social activities.

Event attendance is voluntary and at your own risk.

When attending EDF-connected events, members must:

  • Follow venue rules.
  • Follow staff direction.
  • Follow park rules.
  • Follow city rules.
  • Follow state law.
  • Follow organizer direction.
  • Respect families, bystanders, venue staff, other groups, and the general public.
  • Avoid blocking walkways, entrances, service areas, parking areas, emergency access, or business operations.
  • Avoid property damage.
  • Avoid unsafe behavior.
  • Avoid aggressive conduct.
  • Avoid excessive noise.
  • Avoid behavior that could cause EDF to lose access to a venue.
  • Keep fursuits, cosplay, tails, collars, gear, props, and outfits appropriate for the specific event type, venue, age rating, and public setting.
  • Leave when asked by EDF Texas, LLC leadership, organizers, moderators, venue staff, security, or law enforcement.

EDF may cancel, relocate, delay, end, or modify an event due to weather, safety, venue issues, low attendance, organizer availability, conflict, legal concern, or community risk.

19. Food, Allergies, Health, Medical Issues, and Accessibility

Food, drinks, or supplies at EDF events may be limited, informal, donated, or provided while supplies last.

EDF does not guarantee:

  • Allergen-free food.
  • Dietary suitability.
  • Food availability.
  • Medical care.
  • Transportation.
  • Supervision.
  • Emergency support.
  • Accessibility at every venue.
  • Seating.
  • Climate control.
  • Quiet space.
  • Mobility accommodations.

Members are responsible for their own allergies, medications, health needs, mobility needs, hydration, and emergency planning.

Do not distribute medication, controlled substances, or medical treatment through EDF.

Members with accessibility concerns are encouraged to contact organizers before an event when practical. EDF may try to provide helpful information, but EDF cannot guarantee that every venue or event will meet every need.

20. Photos, Video, Recording, Livestreaming, and Media Use

Respect consent.

Do not photograph, record, livestream, interview, or publish someone in a way that violates their clearly stated boundaries.

At EDF events, ask before taking close-up photos of:

  • Individuals.
  • Fursuiters.
  • Badges.
  • Minors.
  • Private conversations.
  • Personal belongings.
  • Anything that could reasonably identify someone.

Do not use hidden cameras, hidden microphones, or deceptive recording.

Do not use photos, video, screenshots, or recordings from EDF spaces for:

  • Harassment.
  • Ridicule.
  • Commercial use.
  • Adult use.
  • Callouts.
  • Reputational attacks.
  • Doxxing.
  • Public pressure campaigns.

Photos of minors should not be published in EDF-connected spaces without appropriate parent or guardian permission.

Recording, livestreaming, or photographing inside adult-only spaces, private discussions, verification areas, or sensitive event settings may be restricted or prohibited.

At adult-only events or events involving alcohol, members should use extra care before photographing, tagging, posting, or identifying others.

EDF may ask that photos, videos, screenshots, livestreams, or posts connected to EDF be removed if they create privacy, consent, safety, legal, venue, or reputational concerns.

21. Money, Sales, Vendors, Donations, Fundraisers, and Promotions

Anything involving money requires extra care.

Only EDF Texas, LLC leadership may approve, deny, modify, or revoke EDF-related money opportunities, sales opportunities, promotional opportunities, Community Spotlight participation, vendor participation, donation requests, sponsorships, fundraisers, paid promotions, or business-related uses of EDF spaces.

Moderators, moderators in training, volunteers, members, event attendees, and Community Spotlight participants may not approve money-related opportunities on behalf of EDF Texas, LLC unless EDF Texas, LLC leadership has clearly delegated that authority in writing.

Do not present personal sales, commissions, fundraisers, donations, raffles, sponsorships, vendor tables, paid promotions, or business opportunities as EDF-approved unless EDF Texas, LLC leadership has clearly approved them.

EDF is not responsible for private transactions between members.

Buyers and sellers are responsible for:

  • Pricing.
  • Payment.
  • Taxes.
  • Refunds.
  • Delivery.
  • Disputes.
  • Permits.
  • Licenses.
  • Legal compliance.
  • Customer service.
  • Product quality.

EDF approval to post, table, promote, sell, or participate in Community Spotlight does not mean EDF endorses the seller, product, service, quality, safety, legality, pricing, refund policy, or transaction.

EDF may deny or remove sales activity involving:

  • Adult material.
  • AI-generated creative work.
  • Unsafe products.
  • Regulated goods.
  • Suspicious fundraising.
  • Excessive pressure.
  • Misleading claims.
  • Anything inconsistent with the event’s age rating or venue rules.
  • Anything that creates pressure, confusion, legal risk, drama, or a marketplace atmosphere.

22. Community Spotlight and Creator Participation

Community Spotlight exists to celebrate local creativity and help people connect. It is not intended to turn EDF events into a vendor market.

The purpose of Community Spotlight is:

Community First. Creativity Second. Commerce Third.

Community Spotlight participation requires approval from EDF Texas, LLC leadership.

Community Spotlight participants must:

  • Keep displays family-friendly.
  • Avoid aggressive sales tactics.
  • Stay within assigned areas.
  • Follow venue rules.
  • Follow EDF organizer direction.
  • Comply with applicable laws, permits, taxes, and licensing requirements.
  • Provide their own table, chair, display materials, payment methods, signage, and equipment unless EDF clearly states otherwise.
  • Remain responsible for their own merchandise, equipment, cash, property, and personal belongings.

Explicit or adult merchandise may not be displayed or sold during SFW EDF events or SFW Community Spotlight participation.

AI-generated creative works may not be submitted, displayed, promoted, sold, or used as Community Spotlight material.

EDF is not a party to transactions between Community Spotlight participants and purchasers.

EDF Texas, LLC leadership may pause, change, deny, or discontinue Community Spotlight participation if it negatively affects the event, members, venue, or community atmosphere.

23. Spam, Scams, Advertising, and Self-Promotion

Do not spam the group.

Do not post unsolicited:

  • Ads.
  • Referral links.
  • Repeated promotions.
  • Suspicious links.
  • Phishing attempts.
  • Paid services.
  • Mass invites.
  • Unrelated channels.
  • Commercial posts.
  • Adult links.
  • NSFW advertisements.
  • Fundraisers.
  • Sales posts.

Personal projects, art, events, and local furry-related opportunities may be allowed when relevant and not disruptive.

Moderators may remove obvious spam or scams. EDF Texas, LLC leadership may limit, remove, or deny promotional activity at its discretion.

24. Topics, Chat Flow, and Disruption

EDF Texas, LLC leadership may create, remove, rename, merge, restrict, or redirect topics to keep the group usable.

Moderators may help redirect conversations, remind members of topic purpose, and escalate repeated disruption.

Stay reasonably on topic when a topic exists for that purpose.

Repeated disruption may result in redirection or moderation.

This includes:

  • Trolling.
  • Baiting.
  • Circular arguments.
  • Excessive venting.
  • Dominating the chat.
  • Repeatedly restarting settled disputes.
  • Making the group exhausting, hostile, unsafe, or unusable.
  • Ignoring moderator redirection.

Members do not need to agree on everything. They do need to avoid making the group harder to participate in.

25. Speaking for EDF, Branding, Logos, and Official Statements

Only EDF Texas, LLC leadership may approve official EDF statements, policies, public-facing positions, branding use, partnerships, sponsorships, business relationships, media responses, event partnerships, and organizational commitments.

Do not claim to speak for EDF, EDF Texas, LLC, the moderation team, the group owner, or any EDF event unless EDF Texas, LLC leadership has authorized you to do so.

Do not use the EDF name, EDF Texas name, logo, Telegram group, website, flyers, QR codes, event names, Community Spotlight materials, or community materials in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, staff authority, moderator authority, organizer authority, or official approval without permission from EDF Texas, LLC leadership.

Moderators and moderators in training may help enforce posted rules and support community operations, but they may not create official policy, approve partnerships, approve money-related opportunities, approve branding use, or make public statements on behalf of EDF Texas, LLC unless specifically authorized.

Member opinions are their own and do not represent EDF, EDF Texas, LLC, moderators, organizers, venues, or partners.

Official announcements should come from EDF Texas, LLC leadership or from a person specifically authorized by EDF Texas, LLC leadership.

26. Moderators, Conflicts of Interest, and Volunteer Roles

Moderators and moderators in training are volunteers who help support EDF spaces.

Moderator status does not create ownership, employment, agency authority, management authority, partnership authority, or the ability to bind EDF Texas, LLC.

Moderator status is a responsibility, not a rank, title of ownership, personal platform, or guarantee of control.

Moderator status may be changed, limited, paused, or removed at the discretion of EDF Texas, LLC leadership.

Moderators may not use their role to:

  • Pressure members.
  • Retaliate.
  • Pursue personal disputes.
  • Promote private grudges.
  • Override approved decisions.
  • Present personal opinions as official EDF positions.
  • Use EDF spaces for favoritism, social pressure, or personal leverage.
  • Approve major decisions reserved to EDF Texas, LLC leadership.

Concerns involving moderators may be raised privately with EDF Texas, LLC leadership.

A person leaving, losing, or changing a moderator role does not automatically affect their ability to participate as a regular member unless separate conduct concerns exist.

27. Off-Platform Conduct

Behavior outside EDF spaces may affect participation if it creates a safety, trust, legal, venue, or reputational concern for EDF.

This may include:

  • Harassment.
  • Threats.
  • Doxxing.
  • Stalking.
  • Predatory behavior.
  • Impersonation.
  • Scams.
  • Public attacks connected to EDF.
  • Sexual misconduct connected to EDF spaces or members.
  • Attempts to evade EDF moderation.
  • Conduct that reasonably makes members unsafe participating in EDF spaces.

EDF Texas, LLC is not required to investigate every outside dispute.

EDF may act cautiously to protect the group, even when information is incomplete, private, sensitive, or difficult to fully verify.

28. Enforcement and Moderation Actions

EDF responses may include:

  • No action.
  • Friendly reminder.
  • Topic redirection.
  • Content removal.
  • Private correction.
  • Warning.
  • Temporary mute.
  • Topic restriction.
  • Media restriction.
  • Promotion restriction.
  • Community Spotlight restriction.
  • Adult-only space restriction.
  • Event restriction.
  • Temporary ban.
  • Permanent ban.
  • Referral to Telegram, venue staff, law enforcement, or other appropriate parties.

Moderators may help with reminders, redirection, content removal, escalation, and other limited moderation actions when authorized.

EDF Texas, LLC leadership may make final decisions regarding warnings, removals, bans, re-entry, event restrictions, adult-only space access, Community Spotlight restrictions, promotional restrictions, and other significant moderation outcomes.

EDF may consider:

  • Context.
  • Severity.
  • Intent.
  • Impact.
  • History.
  • Patterns of behavior.
  • Member safety.
  • Minor safety.
  • Consent concerns.
  • Venue risk.
  • Legal risk.
  • Reputational risk.
  • The overall health of the group.

EDF is not required to use progressive discipline.

Severe issues may result in immediate removal.

EDF may take different actions in different spaces. For example, a member may be allowed in SFW spaces but denied access to adult-only spaces, removed from events but allowed in chat, restricted from posting media, restricted from promotions, or barred from Community Spotlight participation.
