East Dallas Furs Telegram Rules
Draft V1 — June 2026
East Dallas Furs Telegram exists to help furries and furry-friendly people on the east side of DFW meet friends, share community, attend local events, and build a welcoming all-ages social space.
Our guiding idea is simple:
Community First. Safety Always. Drama Last.
By joining, posting, attending EDF-connected events, or otherwise participating in EDF spaces, you agree to follow these rules and the direction of EDF admins.
1. EDF Is a Privately Managed Community Space
EDF Telegram is a privately managed community group. Participation is a privilege, not a right.
Admins may remove content, restrict topics, issue warnings, mute members, remove members, decline re-entry, or take other action when needed to protect the group, its members, minors, organizers, venues, EDF Texas, or the long-term health of the community.
Admins generally prefer reminders, discussion, and correction when safe and reasonable. However, serious issues may result in immediate removal without prior warning.
2. Keep the Group SFW and All-Ages Appropriate
EDF Telegram is an all-ages, SFW space.
Do not post, link, describe in detail, display, promote, request, or hint toward:
Adult artwork or pornography.
Sexual roleplay, fetish content, kink content, or sexually explicit discussion.
Nude, suggestive, or adult-themed images.
Sexual jokes involving minors or unknown-age people.
Sexualized age regression, cub, minor-coded, or childlike characters.
Content that would make the group unsafe for minors, parents, venues, or public-facing promotion.
Admins may remove borderline content even if it is not explicitly sexual.
3. Profile Photos, Usernames, and Public Profile Content
Your visible Telegram presence should be appropriate for an all-ages community.
This includes your current profile photo, display name, username, bio, and any profile content that members are likely to see after interacting with you in EDF.
If your profile exposes members to explicit adult content, fetish material, hate symbols, threats, impersonation, scams, or otherwise unsafe material, admins may ask you to change it, restrict your participation, or remove you from the group.
4. Respect Boundaries
No means no. Stop means stop. Go away means go away.
Do not pressure, follow, repeatedly message, flirt with, touch, photograph, tag, or continue interacting with someone after they have asked you to stop or clearly disengaged.
This applies in chat, DMs, events, photos, games, roleplay, social media, and off-platform interactions connected to EDF.
5. No Harassment, Threats, Hate, or Targeted Abuse
EDF does not allow harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, threats, hate speech, slurs, dehumanizing language, or targeted abuse.
This includes conduct based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, body type, neurodivergence, medical condition, veteran status, or other personal identity traits.
Jokes are not an excuse when the impact is harassment, exclusion, or intimidation.
6. Minors and Age-Safety Rules
EDF is not a dating space, hookup space, adult roleplay space, or ageplay space.
Do not flirt sexually with minors.
Do not ask minors sexual questions.
Do not send minors adult content.
Do not invite minors into adult spaces.
Do not joke about sexual activity involving minors.
Do not encourage minors to hide things from parents, guardians, or trusted adults.
Do not use EDF to seek private access to minors.
Members are expected to follow Telegram’s terms, applicable laws, and basic age-safety expectations. If someone’s age is unclear, treat them as a minor for safety purposes.
Minors attending EDF events should attend with a parent, guardian, or trusted adult as appropriate. EDF admins are not childcare providers.
7. Privacy, Doxxing, Screenshots, and Personal Information
Do not share, threaten to share, collect, investigate, expose, or encourage others to expose another person’s private information without consent.
This includes legal names, addresses, phone numbers, workplace information, school information, license plates, private social media, family information, medical information, legal history, private photos, or private conversations.
Screenshots may be sent privately to admins for safety or moderation reasons. Screenshots should not be used to harass, shame, brigade, threaten, or manipulate others.
Edited, misleading, or fake evidence may result in removal.
8. Rumors, Accusations, Callouts, and Reputation Harm
EDF Telegram is not a court, investigation board, or public callout forum.
Do not use the group to spread rumors, vague accusations, personal vendettas, public shaming, defamatory claims, or unverified allegations about members, admins, organizers, venues, other groups, or nonmembers.
Good-faith safety concerns are allowed and encouraged, but they should be brought to admins privately whenever possible. If something involves immediate danger, contact emergency services or the appropriate authorities first.
False reports, bad-faith accusations, retaliation against reporters, or attempts to weaponize EDF moderation may result in removal.
9. No Drama Farming, Brigading, or Public Pressure Campaigns
Do not use EDF to organize harassment, raids, dogpiles, review-bombing, rumor campaigns, social pressure campaigns, or targeted attacks against individuals, groups, businesses, conventions, venues, or organizers.
This includes encouraging people to confront someone, mass-message someone, “warn everyone” without evidence, or drag outside disputes into EDF.
Admins may shut down conversations that become reputationally risky, legally risky, unsafe, circular, or hostile.
10. Illegal, Dangerous, or Regulated Activity
Do not use EDF to promote, request, arrange, normalize, or facilitate illegal activity.
This includes illegal drugs, non-prescribed controlled substances, weapons sales, forged documents, fraud, scams, theft, threats, violence, sexual exploitation, revenge porn, CSAM, animal abuse, vandalism, or other illegal conduct.
Do not post instructions for evading law enforcement, harming others, bypassing safety systems, hacking accounts, doxxing, stalking, or committing fraud.
Admins may report credible threats, child-safety concerns, illegal content, or emergency issues to Telegram, venues, law enforcement, or other appropriate parties.
11. Spam, Scams, Self-Promotion, and Advertising
Do not spam the group.
Do not post unsolicited ads, referral links, repeated promotions, suspicious links, phishing attempts, paid services, mass invites, unrelated channels, or commercial posts without admin approval.
Personal projects, art, events, and local furry-related opportunities may be allowed when relevant and not disruptive. Admins may limit or remove promotional posts at their discretion.
12. Money, Sales, Vendors, Donations, and Fundraisers
Anything involving money requires extra care.
Do not present personal sales, commissions, fundraisers, donations, raffles, sponsorships, vendor tables, paid promotions, or business opportunities as EDF-approved unless admins have clearly approved them.
EDF is not responsible for private transactions between members. Buyers and sellers are responsible for pricing, payment, taxes, refunds, delivery, disputes, permits, licenses, and legal compliance.
EDF may remove or restrict sales activity that creates pressure, confusion, legal risk, drama, or a marketplace atmosphere.
13. Community Spotlight and Creator Participation
Community Spotlight exists to celebrate local creativity and help people connect. It is not intended to turn EDF events into a vendor market.
Spotlight participants must keep displays family-friendly, avoid aggressive sales tactics, stay within assigned areas, follow venue rules, and comply with applicable laws, permits, taxes, and licensing requirements.
EDF may pause, change, deny, or discontinue a Community Spotlight participation if it negatively affects the event, members, venue, or community atmosphere.
14. Photos, Video, Recording, and Media
Respect consent.
Do not photograph, record, livestream, interview, or publish someone in a way that violates their clearly stated boundaries.
At EDF events, ask before taking close-up photos of individuals, fursuiters, badges, minors, private conversations, or anything that could reasonably identify someone.
Do not use hidden cameras, hidden microphones, or deceptive recording.
Do not use photos, video, screenshots, or recordings from EDF spaces for harassment, ridicule, commercial use, adult use, callouts, or reputational attacks.
Photos of minors should not be published in EDF-connected spaces without appropriate parent or guardian permission.
EDF may ask that photos, videos, or posts connected to EDF be removed if they create privacy, safety, legal, or reputational concerns.
15. Events, Venues, Parks, and Public Behavior
When attending EDF-connected events, follow all venue rules, park rules, city rules, state law, and organizer directions.
Be respectful to venue staff, park staff, families, bystanders, other groups, and the general public.
Do not damage property, block walkways, create hazards, harass bystanders, ignore weather safety, misuse equipment, or behave in a way that could cause EDF to lose access to a venue.
Fursuits, cosplay, tails, collars, gear, props, and outfits must remain appropriate for an all-ages public environment.
EDF events are attended at your own risk. Members are responsible for their own transportation, health, belongings, food choices, hydration, behavior, and personal safety.
16. Food, Allergies, Health, and Medical Issues
Food, drinks, or supplies at EDF events may be limited, informal, donated, or provided while supplies last.
EDF does not guarantee allergen-free food, dietary suitability, food availability, medical care, transportation, supervision, or emergency support.
Members are responsible for their own allergies, medications, health needs, mobility needs, hydration, and emergency planning.
Do not distribute medication, controlled substances, or medical treatment through EDF.
17. Topics, Chat Flow, and Disruption
Admins may create, remove, rename, merge, restrict, or redirect topics to keep the group usable.
Stay reasonably on topic when a topic exists for that purpose. Repeated disruption, trolling, baiting, circular arguments, excessive venting, or dominating the chat may result in redirection or moderation.
Members do not need to agree on everything. They do need to avoid making the group exhausting, hostile, unsafe, or unusable.
18. AI, Art, Credit, and Creative Work
AI-generated creative works are not allowed.
This includes AI-generated visual art, icons, avatars, ref sheets, character designs, writing presented as creative work, music/audio, video, animation, adoptables, commission examples, contest entries, Community Spotlight material, event material, or promotional material.
This is not aimed at utility uses like coding help, accessibility tools, spellcheck, moderation drafting, or organizational help, as long as the output is not being posted or presented as a creative work
Do not steal art, falsely claim credit, remove signatures, impersonate artists, or misrepresent commissioned work.
Admins may limit AI discussion if it becomes disruptive, hostile, deceptive, or harmful to the community atmosphere.
19. Speaking for EDF, Admins, Branding, and Official Statements
Do not claim to speak for EDF, EDF Texas, the admin team, the group owner, or any EDF event unless you have been authorized to do so.
Do not use the EDF name, logo, Telegram group, website, flyers, QR codes, event names, or community materials in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, staff authority, or official approval without permission.
Member opinions are their own and do not represent EDF, EDF Texas, admins, organizers, venues, or partners.
Official announcements should come from the group owner or approved admins.
20. Admins and Conflicts of Interest
Admins are volunteers trusted to help protect the group.
Admin status should not be used for personal grudges, social pressure, favoritism, retaliation, or private disputes.
Concerns involving admins may be raised privately with the group owner or another admin. Serious concerns may be reviewed by admins when practical, but EDF may limit discussion to protect privacy, safety, and legal risk.
21. Enforcement
Admin responses may include:
No action.
A friendly reminder.
A topic redirection.
Content removal.
A private correction.
A warning.
A temporary mute.
A topic restriction.
A temporary ban.
A permanent ban.
Referral to Telegram, venue staff, law enforcement, or other appropriate parties.
Admins may consider context, severity, intent, impact, history, patterns of behavior, member safety, minor safety, venue risk, legal risk, reputational risk, and the overall health of the group.
EDF is not required to use progressive discipline. Severe issues may result in immediate removal.
22. Off-Platform Conduct
Behavior outside EDF Telegram may affect participation if it creates a safety, trust, legal, venue, or reputational concern for EDF.
This may include harassment, threats, doxxing, stalking, predatory behavior, impersonation, scams, public attacks connected to EDF, or conduct that reasonably makes members unsafe participating in EDF spaces.
Admins are not required to investigate every outside dispute. EDF may act cautiously to protect the group.
23. Appeals and Feedback
Members may respectfully ask for clarification about moderation decisions.
Appeals should be calm, private, and focused on facts. Harassing admins, threatening legal action to force a moderation outcome, rallying members, creating public drama, or ban evasion may end the appeal process.
EDF may decline to discuss details when privacy, safety, minors, legal risk, or member protection is involved.
24. Rules Are Not Exhaustive
These rules cannot predict every situation.
EDF reserves the right to interpret, update, expand, narrow, or enforce these rules as needed to protect the community, members, admins, organizers, venues, EDF Texas, and the long-term success of the group.
If something is harmful, unsafe, manipulative, exploitative, illegal, reputationally damaging, or clearly against the spirit of the group, admins may act even if the exact behavior is not listed here.
